Piano Concerto Camp 2026

Camp Overview

This is your chance to make music and shine. This 5-day Piano Concerto Camp (4 days+1 day performance) is an intensive and immersive program designed to give young pianists a rare, hands-on experience in performing with the orchestra of roughly 40 members. This program is designed for students whose skill matches that of Grade 7 or higher.


Throughout the camp, participants work closely with experienced faculty and orchestral musicians to develop their pianistic and ensemble skills along with fun workshops designed to expose students to different composers, genres, and stage presentation skills. The camp finishes off with a final performance where students will showcase their piano concerti in a beautiful concert hall.

What each student will receive

  • 4 orchestra rehearsals
  • 1 performance with orchestra
  • 3 x 1-1 lessons
  • 3 x rehearsals with 2nd piano (to be provided by the camp)
  • Workshops on stage presence, performance anxiety
  • Fun activities
  • Group Visit to the Piano Museum at 140 Wireless Building
  • Certificate of Participation

Joining the camp

HOW TO Qualify for the Camp

  • To join the camp, you must pass the audition to make sure your skill is best matched. There are two available audition track options to select from:


  1. Onsite Audition track on Sunday 14th June 2026 or
  2. Online Audition track (VDO recording) sent by Sunday 9th August 2026


  • At the audition, you are expected to present one of the movements listed in the Repertoire Requirements below. 
  • Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to audition with a second piano. In the case of auditioning with a second piano, applicants are required to bring their own accompanists. 
  • Performance from memory is encouraged but not required.
  • All performances shall be evaluated exclusively by the Jury Panel, duly appointed by the TIPF Committee. The Jury’s decisions shall be final, binding, and conclusive, and shall not be subject to appeal, review, or challenge.
  • There are limited number of seats available at the camp, so hurry and start preparing for the audition!
  • For both onsite and online applications, there is a non-refundable application fee of 2,500 THB.

Repertoire Requirements

Participants choose only one movement from the list below to perform in both the audition and camp.


  1. Vivace (1st mvt) from Joseph Haydn: Piano Concerto in D, Hob.XVIII/11
  2. Rondo all'Ungarese (3rd mvt) from Joseph Haydn: Piano Concerto in D, Hob.XVIII/11
  3. Molto allegro con fuoco (1st mvt) from Felix Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 
  4. Presto—Molto allegro e vivace (3rd mvt) from Felix Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 
  5. Allegro con brio (1st mvt) from Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15 
  6. Rondo. Allegro scherzando (3rd mvt) from Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 1 in C major, Op. 15 


Video Requirements

For online applicants, please ensure your video meets our requirements.

  • The videos should be of decent quality (at least 720p resolution) with good sound quality and on an acoustic piano.
  • The video should be taken in one continuous, unedited take, on a fixed tripod or stable surface. 
  • The pianists' body including face, hands, and foot should be visible throughout the video. 

Fees

  • Audition - For both onsite and online applications, there is a non-refundable application fee of 2,500 THB.

Important dates

Onsite Audition track

  • Deadline for onsite application form: Sunday 15th May 2026.
  • Onsite audition: Sunday 14th June 2026.
  • Result announcement for onsite applicants: by Sunday 28th June 2026.


Online Audition track

  • Deadline for online application form: Sunday 9th August, 2026.
  • Deadline for sending VDO recording: Sunday 9th August, 2026.
  • Result announcement for online applicants: by Sunday 23rd August 2026


Seat Confirmation

  • Accepted students are required to confirm their participation via an online form and pay their camp fee in full within 14 days of the result announcement date.
  • Deadline for payment for Onsite track: 12th July 2026
  • Deadline for payment for Online track: 23rd August 2026


Camp Dates

  • Camp dates: Wed Oct 21st - Sun Oct 25th, 2026*
