About Thailand International Piano Festival

Established in 2023 by a new generation of Thailand’s leading pianists, each having devoted years to the pursuit of musical excellence and refined their artistry at prestigious music institutions around the world, the Thailand International Piano Festival presents an inspiring series of performances each November, dedicated to cultivating a deeper appreciation of classical piano music.

Our collaboration is rooted in a shared vision: to create a space where audiences can immerse themselves in the beauty and depth of classical music, fostering a more profound understanding and appreciation of this timeless art form. We believe that experiencing a diverse repertoire in the intimate atmosphere of a live concert hall offers an invaluable and enriching experience. Beyond its artistic significance, live music has the power to inspire, stir the imagination, andprovide a moment of respite from the demands of everyday life.

For Thailand International Piano Festival 2026, More Than a Piano, we invite audiences to discover the piano beyond itsfamiliar boundaries. A piano recital can be far more than a solo performance; it can become an entire orchestra, a stage for operatic drama, or a vessel for the grandeur of a symphonic work. This year’s program explores the remarkable versatility of the piano through transcriptions of opera, symphony, and piano concerti, revealing how a single instrument can encompass the colors, textures, and emotional breadth of an entire musical world.

Adding another dimension to this year’s festival, we are delighted to introduce a cello sonata to the program for the first time. This new addition broadens the festival’s musical dialogue, bringing together the expressive voices of the piano and cello in an intimate musical partnership.

Through More Than a Piano, we hope to challenge perceptions of what a piano recital can be, inviting audiences to listen beyond the instrument itself and discover the orchestral worlds, dramatic narratives, and profound human emotions it can bring to life. Ultimately, the festival celebrates not only the piano’s extraordinary capabilities but also the limitless possibilities of music to inspire, connect, and transform the listening experience.
